Bids, outbids and disputes

The rules of the arena in plain language. If something isn't covered here, email support@bidriot.lol.

How bidding works

What exactly am I bidding on?

Placement. Your verified bid total is your rank inside an arena and on the global leaderboard. Higher total, higher position, more visibility. Entry starts at $1.

Do I pay my full bid again when I raise it?

No. When you raise your own listing you only pay the difference between your current verified total and your new one. The exact amount is recalculated server-side at checkout, so you never overpay because the board moved while you were typing.

What does it cost to take #1?

The current leader's total plus the minimum increment of $1. Right now that's $2, and it changes with every bid.

When does my bid go live?

As soon as payment is confirmed. Your bid amount is reserved for a few minutes while you check out; if payment fails or expires, the reservation is released and nothing is charged.

Outbids and Auto-Outbid

What happens when someone outbids me?

Your rank drops immediately, and we email and notify you with the new total needed to retake your position. Nothing is refunded — your bid stays credited to your listing.

How does Auto-Outbid protect me?

You set a maximum you're willing to spend. When a rival passes you, Bidriot bids the minimum needed to restore your target rank, never above your ceiling. Chain-depth limits stop two Auto-Outbids from escalating endlessly against each other.

Can two bids land at the same instant?

Bids are settled in order on the server. If the board moves between your preview and your payment, checkout stops and shows you the new required total instead of charging you for a rank you can no longer get.

What happens when a round ends?

Every arena runs a 12-hour cycle. At zero the rankings lock, the champion is recorded with the winning bid, and a fresh round opens automatically.

Payments, refunds and disputes

Which payments do you accept?

Card payments through our hosted checkout, plus wallet balance you can top up in advance from Wallet & billing. Receipts land in your email and in your transaction history.

Can I get a refund?

Bids buy placement that is delivered instantly, so they are generally final. We do refund duplicate charges, failed placements, and bids affected by a platform fault — see the refund section of the Terms.

How do I raise a dispute?

Sign in and open Disputes in your dashboard — pick a category, describe what happened and attach an evidence link. The case goes straight into our review queue and you can track its status there. You can also email support@bidriot.lol from the address on your account with the transaction ID from your receipt. We acknowledge within 2 business days and aim to resolve within 10. Moderation or ranking decisions can be appealed the same way; the audit trail behind every round close and moderation action is reviewed as part of that.

What if a listing shouldn't be on the board?

Report it from the listing page or by email. Impersonation, illegal content and manipulation of the market are removed, and bids on removed listings are handled case-by-case under the Terms.
